Fifth SEI-authorized “Introduction to CMMI” course – delivered by Bulgarian instructors, April 2007

ESI Center Bulgaria has organized the fifth “Introduction to CMMI” course, version 1.2 Staged and Continuous Representation, in Sofia. Twenty participants, presenting 8 companies from Macedonia and Bulgaria, have attended the official Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Carnegie Mellon University course. All trained are leading IT specialists, presenting the core staff of their companies – Nemetschek, Antipodes, Musala, Soft Innovations, Tumbleweed, David Holding and Inet. All of them obtained a certificate, registered in SEI database. This certificate is a must for all members of SCAMPI Class A (official appraisal for CMMI maturity level) team.

As a result of its commitment to bring quality and competitiveness to the companies in the Region, ESI Center Bulgaria can already “report” it has its own capacity in South-Eastern Europe. The three days event (25th to 28th April) is the first one delivered by Bulgarian instructors. Youri Metchev and Kiril Karaatanasov are officially authorized by SEI, Carnegie Mellon University as instructors in “Introduction to CMMI” version 1.2.

ESI Center Bulgaria has trained so far 114 top IT specialists presenting 51 companies from Armenia, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria.
